Gingerbread Men
To make gingerbread cookies, you will need sugar, butter, molasses, water, flour, salt, nutmeg, baking soda, and ginger.
First, grab a large mixing bowl, and melt 1 ¼ cups of butter with 1 ¼ cups of sugar. Then add 1 ¼ cups of molasses and 5/8 cup of water.
In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients which will be 6 cups of flour, 1 7/8 teaspoons of salt, 1 ¼ teaspoons baking soda, 1 7/8 teaspoon of ginger, and 5/8 teaspoon of nutmeg.
Slowly blend the two bowls together and knead until it turns to dough. Cover dough with plastic wrap tightly and chill it in the fridge for two to three hours.
When you take out the dough, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line and spray cookie sheets with tin foil and cooking spray.
Grab a cutting board and rolling pin, and lightly spread flour on both of them. Roll out the dough on the cutting board. Use cookie cutters to cut out the little men and then decorate them using decorative sprinkles.
Place the cookies on your cookie sheets and place in the oven for 8-10 minutes. When they are cooked, take them out of the oven and let them cool on a cooking rack.
Chocolate Pretzels
To make chocolate pretzels, you will need square pretzels, Hershey’s kisses, and M&Ms.
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie sheet with foil and place rows of pretzels on the sheets.
Place a Hershey’s kiss on top of every pretzel. Then carefully place the sheet in the oven for five minutes.
When the kiss is semi-melted, take out the sheet and place an M&M on every chocolate.
Place back in the oven for another minute, take the sheet out, and then let cool before eating.
Chocolate Reindeer
To make Chocolate Reindeers, you will need wooden skewers, marshmallows, chocolate, milk, and pretzels.
Start by lining a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Then stab two marshmallows on each skewer.
To melt the chocolate, start by spraying a small pot with cooking spray. Then add equal parts chocolate and milk. You have to be stirring constantly to not let the chocolate burn.
When the chocolate has melted into a smooth liquid, roll the marshmallows in the chocolate, and cover the whole surface. Then place on the cookie sheet.
When you have done this with all of the marshmallows, place the cookie sheet in the freezer and let chill for a few hours.
When the chocolate coating is hard, stab pieces of pretzel into the top marshmallow to make a reindeer. If you want to be fancy, you can add a red sprinkle in the middle to make Rudolph’s nose.
