Want a sweet, healthy, quick and easy treat? Try these protein packed chocolate brownies. They are a tasty dish that only requires a short 40 minutes to make and can be done in the comfort of your own home. These brownies have a rich chocolate flavor combined with a moist, dense, and gooey texture to create the perfect treat for any occasion.

"These brownies were amazingly simple and delicious, a great way to finish off the day or start your morning. They have everything you would need to get going. They are healthy and overall, just a simple and fantastic way to make a brownie,” said Benjamin Jerome (11) after tasting the brownies.

Start off by preheating the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl whisk together your choice of almond or peanut butter, 2 large eggs, ½ cup of maple syrup or honey, ¼ cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

After combined, add ½ cup chocolate protein powder, ¼ cup cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder and stir until completely combined. Note: If your batter is on the drier side add a splash more milk.

Gently fold in ½ cup chocolate chips.

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let brownies cool completely and cut to desired size.

Add your favorite toppings such as whipped cream, ice cream, or chocolate chips and enjoy your brownies.

These brownies are one of a kind due to their delicious taste coupled with the amazing nutritional value of the recipe.

The substitution of honey for sugar further benefits the recipe as "Honey has a lower GI value than sugar, meaning that it doesn’t raise blood sugar levels as quickly. It’s also sweeter than sugar, so you may need less of it,” according to Lauren Armstrong’s CNBC article on the benefits of honey (2022). The recipe is perfect for athletes to help with the building of muscles, weight loss, and other benefits through the use of protein powder while keeping an extremely enjoyable flavor.

“I enjoyed the healthy, arid texture of the brownies. They were good, and I look forward to when they are made again,” said Cascade Medical Doctor, Jerome Jerome.

I recommend this recipe for anyone who is looking for a quick and easy dessert that will please your taste buds while providing health benefits. Try this recipe and you will not be disappointed.
