How to Make the Most of Christmas Break

Mrs. Weil’s calendar is very well organized and helps students to count the days down to winter break.

Everyone at Cascade High School is excited for the two-week Christmas break this year.  However, there are many things you can do during break if you know how to spend your time well.

During break, many people go on vacation and spend their time with family and friends. Other people stay here in town and also spend time with their loved ones.

“I'm going to use my Christmas break to mostly spend time with my family, watch movies, make a lot of money and try to work as much as I can and overall have a good break,” explained Melania Rodriges (10).

Many students are busy and others don't have much to do. A good way to balance being productive and having time to enjoy break is knowing what you are going to do ahead of time.  This will help you stay organized and help you have a good and fun break.

“There is certain day I'm working and the other days I'm not, the days I have off are family days and Christmas of course,” said Mariana Fonseca (12).

You could spend your Christmas break well by spending your time with family and organized by knowing what you will be doing during winter break. You could also do some fun activities during the break that will be fun. Going into downtown Leavenworth and taking pictures with all the lights or going to get some good dessert at the Gingerbread Factory are other ways people who stay local might enjoy their winter break.

Another fun activity that will be very fun this break is sledding and building snowmen with your friends or even younger siblings.  While many tourists sled at Front Street Park, locals prefer Enchantment Park or other, more remote, locations.
