After being displaced from his role as an English teacher because of budget struggles at the district level, beloved teacher, friend, and mentor Conrad Wharton will be leaving Cascade and becoming a Cashmere Bulldog in the fall of 2025.  Because his certification is only in English, this job opportunity was a better fit than his current position at CHS.

For the past two years, Wharton has actively interacted with, taught, and inspired students at Cascade High School. Throughout Wharton's time at Cascade, he has developed a love for the school and his students. “I think I’ll miss all the kids I have connections to. There [are]

so many great students here that I love spending time with,” said Wharton.

Wharton, during his time here, earned a reputation for easily connecting with students and supporting them even after they left his classes. Students are sad that he’s leaving.  “It’s very sad that he’s leaving, and we’re all going to miss him here,” said Kathleen Kocher (11).

“It’s hard to sum it up. Mostly it’s been really fun and powerful, and I’ve enjoyed a lot of it, and I’m definitely going to miss Cascade High School,” said Wharton.

Wharton is leaving with mixed emotions as well.   “It’s hard to sum it up. Mostly it’s been really fun and powerful, and I’ve enjoyed a lot of it, and I’m definitely going to miss Cascade High School,” said Wharton.
