Rayen Blue

Welcome to the stage, Rayen Blue. Rayen is a 2024 senior, varsity soccer captain, member on the varsity golf team, member on varsity girls' basketball team and a wonderful friend to all. She has been in the Cascade School District all twelve years, has played high school soccer all four years of high school, basketball for three, and golf for one.

Rayen brightens up the room and field with her exuberant smile and positive attitude. She is always willing to participate in school activities such as fundraisers, Flex Fun, and school spirit. She was also this year's senior homecoming princess. she is involved in FBLA, likes to kite board and bike. “I really want to travel, but realistically I’ll probably go to college,” explained Rayen after being asked about her plans after high school.

Along with being a wonderful classmate, she is also an amazing friend. “She always checks up on me and makes sure I am doing okay all the time. We have been friends for a long time but got close in middle school. My favorite thing about her is how into the moment she is,” said her best friend, Cassidy Gilespie (12).

Rayen is an all-season athlete. She plays soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter and golf in the spring.

Rayen is the Cascade girls' soccer teams’ varsity goalie and has been working on her skills all four years. She is committed, and this year is leading the varsity team as one of the four captains.

"She really captivates the team and motivates everybody by just being this completely positive person who brings a totally different kind of energy than anybody else. She is always there, leading warm-ups with everybody and making sure they are doing everything to the best of their abilities. Rayen is overall a great captain,” said Teyva Dillion (11), one of her fellow soccer captains.

She is also a member of the girls' basketball team and has played for two years. She was injured during her junior year, so she was not able to play; however she is planning on playing this winter. Natalie Sanchez (12) has played with Rayen through the years, and she said, “Rayen is so enthusiastic, I love her positive attitude, and she is a very valuable team player”

Lastly, Rayen is an awesome addition to the golf team. Last year was her first year playing on the team and she plans to play this year as well. “Rayen is super optimistic. Sometimes in golf it’s easy to get mad at yourself or other people and it's easy to be impatient, but she is really levelheaded and can stay in the game. She is also just really good at golf and has a great sense of humor, which is nice to be around,” explained varsity golf captain, Scott Lindsay (12).

Overall, Rayen is a great student, person, and friend. Her positive attitude, and bright smile are great additions to CHS and the whole Cascade School District.
