Washington state has many beautiful sights to see, from the sky touching mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Some of its well-known sights are its breath-taking National Parks. These parks include Olympic, North Cascades, and Mount Rainier.

The first park is in the Olympic Mountains. This park is filled with many dense rainforests. These rain forests are not like the jungle type of rainforests in more southern climes. They are full of dense, moist moss covering the tall, standing trees. Huge ferns cover the landscape below the many trees. There are also lakes hidden within the trees that visitors may want to take a swim in and enjoy the views within the park. Olympic National Park has many trails and visitor sites where travelers and tourists can take in the scenic parts of one of Washington’s parks. It is also not far from the coast and visitors can easily see the ocean by taking a quick trip on one of the scenic roads that run through the park.

The next of the three is the North Cascades. This park consists of sky-touching ridges and peaks. Surrounding the beautiful geography are dense forests consisting of such trees as pines, cedars, and larches. There are also many species of wildlife that roam these mountains and forests including bears, deer, moose, and many more. There are many hidden gems in this wide-stretching park. There are many gorgeous hiking trails that can take adventurers to many high mountain lakes. This park is the largest of the three so there is much to explore from valleys to high rising mountains. This park offers many outdoor activities because of its size and beautiful landscape.

Lastly, there is Mount Rainier. Most visitors chose to drive through the windy roads until they see Mt. Rainier peering above the clouds. This park is spectacular during every season. The spring offers gorgeous wildflowers covering the landscape. Summer offers warm weather and beautiful hiking trails. Along with lots of wildlife year-round. Fall brings beautiful colors to the trees covering the park. Lastly, winter will bring the Christmas feeling as the snow falls down dusting the ground at the beginning of the season and later in the season the park gets many feet of snow making it a lot of fun to visit. The lodge located at the base of the mountain is also a very nice and popular place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the views or have a lovely night’s stay allowing visitors to enjoy the breath-taking scenery even longer.

Washington has some of the most beautiful places to visit compared to other states. There is always so much to explore and discover in the parks. The size of the parks does vary between each one, but they all have so much to offer. The hiking trails each one offers are incredibly extensive and different. Even though the parks may be in the same state, visiting each one truly is like going somewhere totally different just because of each's one's specialties. Such as the Olympics rainforests, Rainier’s beautiful scenic roads, and Cascades beautiful peaks. After experiencing each National Park, all of them are all worth taking a trip through Washington to visit them and their beauty.
