Leilani Alejo
Leilani, known as Lou, has a cheerful attitude and personality. Lou has been involved in softball since her freshman year. “My hobby is softball and gym. I guess I developed the interest in softball because of my sister—she played for years, and I tried it and fell in love. It’s a way for me to clear my head,” said Alejo.
Lou says her favorite senior event this year was Soak a Senior. “Soak a Senior was probably my favorite. My family came, and Hab dumped a big bucket of water on me and a few classmates. I’m looking forward to just graduating.”
Her advice to underclassmen is: “Don’t fall behind—it will really be a pain later. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

Connor Butts
Connor is a hard worker and known for making others smile. He has been involved with the golf team. Outside of school, his hobby is working on cars. “Working on cars has made me more patient,” said Butts.
Connor was unable to participate in any school events this year. “I haven’t gone to any of them because I’ve been working or doing something during all the events.”
His advice to underclassmen: “Do your work and don’t be a bum.”

Amara Flansburg
Amara is known for her hard work and caring personality. She is involved with MECHA, concessions, and recent food drives. “These activities have impacted me by helping me gain graduation requirements such as community service hours, as well as allowing me to meet more people and get out of my comfort zone,” said Flansburg.
Outside of school, Amara plays the guitar and, most recently, the harmonica. “I developed this interest in middle school because I love music. My stepbrother and I always said we wanted to make a band in the future,” she said.
Amara’s favorite senior event was Soak a Senior. “It was fun to watch people in my class get water dumped on them and to do it with my friends.” She is also excited for the upcoming senior trip to Silverwood and the cruise.
Her advice to underclassmen: “Don’t procrastinate. Don’t do things only when they’re due—get them done ASAP. Also, start thinking about your interests so you have an idea of what you want to do after school.”

Mylee Hobbs
Mylee Hobbs is known for her cheerful personality, creativity, and involvement in many CHS activities such as ASB, Sports Med, basketball, and Publications as an editor. “Each activity has impacted me differently. Publications has pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me new skills, and helped me find my strengths. Basketball taught me a lot about myself and gave me many hard lessons,” said Hobbs.
In her free time, Mylee enjoys scrapbooking, coloring, and other crafts. “I’ve loved being creative since I was young—it’s always been a highlight of my childhood,” she said.
Mylee enjoyed Soak a Senior, Senior Sunrise, and senior parking spots. “These events created new memories and stronger connections with classmates I don’t usually talk to. Getting closer as a class has been a huge highlight.” She is also looking forward to Mr. Kodiak and Cops and Robbers.
Her advice to underclassmen: “Just live in the moment. Don’t take everything so seriously. High school is full of ups and downs, but learn from your mistakes and keep going.”

Jonathan Pichardo
Jonathan is known for his love of boxing and hopes to become a professional fighter. He has been involved in the band, which he enjoys along with wrestling. “Wrestling showed me how to work hard, and band has been fun for parades because I enjoy making people excited and happy,” said Pichardo.
Outside of school, he pursues hobbies like singing, boxing, and four-wheeling.
His advice to underclassmen: “Work hard and use your time wisely.”

Connor Schoenwald
Connor is a dedicated student-athlete involved in cheer stunt crew, football, and baseball. The stunt crew has had the biggest impact on him. “It helped me use skills I hadn’t before, opened up new opportunities, and built more excitement at games,” said Schoenwald.
He has also developed a hobby outside school: playing the card game Magic: The Gathering. “It might sound nerdy, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun,” he said.
His advice to underclassmen: “Try new experiences—clubs, sports, and activities. It will help you find friends with the same interests and maybe even open new paths for after high school.”

Ezra Week
Ezra has been involved in track, basketball, cross-country, and football. “Through school records, I’m one of the only D1 athletes coming out of Cascade,” said Week. He hasn’t picked a favorite senior event yet, but is looking forward to Grizzled Old Men. An interesting talent he has is playing piano. “I didn’t initially have any interest, but I was encouraged to try it,” he said.
His advice to underclassmen: “Don’t take Usage class.”
