Student in the Spotlight: Axel Pacheco

Axel Pacheco, aka “Pacheeks,” is a role model to many students at Cascade High School.

Axel Pacheco (12) is a role model at Cascade High School. He is always helping others in need and bringing a smile everywhere he goes.  

He is known for his hard work, being a good friend, helping others, and being a very kind person. Axel shows his leadership skills in football and wrestling.  He is always making sure that his teammates are on task. “I think he is a really nice, friendly guy. If you were able to meet him, he is always out there, helping others out. He’s kind, he’s actually a really funny guy. He’s a big dude but a really nice guy. In sports he works his tail off. In practice, he is hustling, and he is a really good captain. Keeps people on track and very hard working,” said Angel Sandoval (12). 

 Axel is known best at CHS for being a team captain for wrestling. “I think Pacheeks is a good role model and always has a positive outlook on things. He is always encouraging and that is really good on the wrestling team,” said Mya Herrera (12).  With Axel’s positive mindset, he helps motivate his team to do better and to work hard. 

Axel is a very mellow person, and you will never find him in a bad mood. He’s kind to everyone and tries to make people laugh everywhere he goes. “Some people look up to me and it feels nice,” explained Pacheco. Photo Credit: Emily Sanchez Medina and Paula Warmth.

Axel’s friends all think positively about him and know that he is a good person. “I think Axel Pacheco is complete athlete and absolute unit. There's no one else like him. He’s one of the strongest guys in school. And one of the absolute nicest guys you will ever meet,” said Juan Fonseca (12). 

Since elementary school Axel has been a friend to his peer and one of his long-term friends has been German Verona (12). “I grew up with Axel throughout school and just like being his friend. Seeing him grow makes me proud. Every time I hang out with Axel, we have a great time, and he always has a smile on his face. Axel is a very kind and funny person,” explained Verona.
