A part of it all, Breanna Loomis is a 2024 senior. She has been involved in countless activities throughout her four years at Cascade High School. These include being the president of Drama and Interact Clubs, the vice president of FBLA and she has been a part of Speech and Debate for four years and the captain for two years. She takes part in and runs clubs with strong leadership presence. Breanna has also played tennis for three years and plans on playing again this year.
Breanna is an excellent student, friend, and peer. One of Breanna’s best friends Maddy Black (12), said, “I think I have known her since, maybe third grade but we became really good friends about a year ago."
"I love that she can say the most craziest things and I just think she’s really funny when she does this. And she also complains about having to buy me Starbucks but when I tell her she doesn’t have to, she yells at me and says she wants to spoil me.”
CHS Computer sciences teacher and FBLA advisor Mrs. Murphy said, “If I had to describe Breanna in one word it would be dedicated and busy.”
CHS Leadership, English, Publications teacher Ms. Robison, would describe Breanna as “intelligent”. “Breanna is really intelligent. I don't just mean book smart, she is able to understand a problem through a unique and creative lens. She also understands how systems work well, she'll do the work that she must, but she'll also understand the “why” behind it. I think she's an intelligent person,” said Robison.
When asked to describe Breanna in one word, Maddy said, “I would describe Breanna as smart and ambitious because she’s known what she wants to do after high school since she was little, and I think that is impressive and not a lot of people can say the same. So many clubs would not be running smoothly if Cascade didn’t have her.” said Maddy.
CHS History, CWCW, and Drama teacher Mr. Allen, would describe Breanna as “a leader.” “She is running not only drama but speech and debate as well and she definitely has the ability to round students up and get them to listen. which is not easy for a peer to do, to get their fellow students to be quiet and listen,” said Allen.
Breanna he been involved in many activities and has excelled in many of them throughout her four years at Cascade High School. She always has a smile on her face and is always game to help her fellow students. She is willing to take jobs that most are not willing to. “In the time that I have known Breanna, I have seen her go from that kid in the background on stage to the kid who's willing to dive out of an open window in our last production and have on-stage wrestling match in front of the entire audience. There is just that willingness, that openness to take risks and chances,” said Mr. Allen. Breanna has been a part of drama for all four years of her high school career.
Breanna is excited for her next steps. Breanna has plans to attend Central Washington University, where she plans to study business. While excited for her next step, she said she will miss her friends and her family. “I have enjoyed my time here, but I am more excited to go out and seek new opportunities in life. I am looking forward to experiences in life and meeting new people, [however,] I will miss theater, the friends that I made, and my family,” said Loomis.
