Teyva Dillon has been an active member of athletics and academics at Cascade High School for the past four years. She has been a part of soccer, basketball, Interact, Sustainability Club and more. She is known for giving it her all in the sports that she plays and brightening the classrooms in which she is a student.

Dillon has played soccer (both for CHS and Wenatchee FC) and track since her freshman year. She also played basketball during her freshman and senior years. She is a role model and a leader when it comes to any sport she plays.

“Teyva was the reason I played soccer. Without her I wouldn’t have even considered playing. She brought me in and made me feel welcome during my freshman year and I’ve felt like a part of the team ever since. She is so strong and is such a leader. I look up to her every day at practice,” teammate Kikkan Brine (11) said.

She was soccer and track captain in her junior year and in these roles, inspired other athletes to participate.

Not only has she had an extraordinarily strong sports career while in high school, but she is unafraid of challenging herself academically. She has taken almost every EWU class Cascade has to offer and excelled.

Teyva always strives to give back to the school. Teyva served as the secretary for Executive ASB during her sophomore year and as the Executive Vice President her junior year. She’s been a part of the Technology Student Association, Sustainability Club, and Interact Club.

Dilon has also worked as a lifeguard every summer since eighth grade. “Every summer, I work at the pool and eat Otter Pops and teach kids how to swim, it’s really fun. It’s the best job,” Dillon said.

Teyva always gives back to her community in any way she can. Teyva traveled to Africa on a community service project; when they came back, Teyva helped raise $10,000 in a GoFundMe to support the program. This experience impacted Dillon greatly.

After high school, Teyva is looking forward to pursuing her passions full-time.

However, she’s going to miss all the friends that she has made.
